Stoneridge offers early pregnancy ultrasound to verify the health of your pregnancy, your baby’s due date, and the number of babies.
Transvaginal ultrasound, performed using a probe gently inserted into the vaginal canal, allows us to get a clearer view of your uterus and ovaries than ultrasound procedures performed on the surface of your skin.
We also conduct 20-week anatomical survey ultrasounds in our office for most health insurances. During this ultrasound, your obstetrician confirms that the placenta is healthy and attached normally and that your baby is growing properly in the uterus. The baby’s heartbeat and movement of its body, arms, and legs can also be seen on the ultrasound. At this time, you may find out the gender of your baby.
We offer in-house ultrasounds by our physicians and a board-certified ultrasound technician.
Having this technology onsite makes it convenient for our patients and allows our physicians to review and report on your ultrasound during your visit.
